Overview

Air Comfort Systems is a Metro Vancouver HVAC and commercial refrigeration company founded by Ed and Larry — two TECA-certified technicians with 15+ combined years in the trade. Their previous online presence wasn't generating leads. We rebuilt everything from the ground up: new brand direction, new site architecture, and a full local SEO strategy targeting nine service areas across Metro Vancouver.

The Challenge

HVAC is a split-intent market. Someone's furnace dies at midnight — they want a phone number in under two seconds. Someone researching a heat pump install is comparing three companies over a week. The site needed to serve both without compromising either. It also needed to rank: Vancouver's HVAC search landscape is competitive and most results are generic national directories.

Our Approach

We built a dual-temperature design system — cool cyan for cooling services, deep navy for heating — that shifts across service pages contextually. A sticky call bar sits at the top of every page on mobile. Emergency CTAs are above the fold, always. Nine dedicated service area pages (Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Langley, Delta) each with unique local copy. Jobber integration handles live booking directly from the site. A marquee trust bar, commercial refrigeration section, and real job photography complete the picture.

The Result

A site that works at midnight and at 2pm. The Jobber booking integration reduced friction for planned-purchase customers. The service area architecture gives the site a real foothold in local organic search. Ed and Larry now have a digital presence that matches the professionalism they bring to every job.

TRUST SIGNALS

Reviews as a Conversion Layer

Reviews as a Conversion Layer

HVAC is a trust-first market. When someone's heat goes out at midnight, they're not comparing quotes — they're asking: will this company show up and not rip me off? Air Comfort's 5.0 Google rating is displayed with actual review text, real customer names, and Google verification badges so visitors never have to leave the page to verify. The featured review runs full-width above the grid, giving the most compelling testimonial the prominence it deserves. Displaying a verified star rating near the primary CTA increases conversion rates by 15-30% for home service businesses — this layout is built around that.

EMERGENCY-FIRST MOBILE

Built for the 2am Search

Built for the 2am Search

HVAC emergencies skew heavily mobile and heavily late-night. The mobile hero is built for that exact moment: the headline identifies service and location immediately, the dual CTAs give both options — form for non-urgent, click-to-call for right now — and the trust bar answers the three questions every emergency caller has before they dial. The hero image of real HVAC equipment signals legitimacy before a word is read. Page load is under 1.5s on mobile, because a customer with a frozen furnace will not wait for a spinner.
